Our Head Office team in Hertfordshire helps to lead the way and support our store teams across Europe, set apart by a culture of being friendly, supportive and daring to be different.
The HR Team partner with our business leaders, maintaining employment practices that build and improve our safe and secure working environment, whilst supporting and advocating our diverse and inclusive workforce. Retail Services and Facilities
Our Retail Services team takes care of a range of activities to keep our stores running smoothly, such as providing point of sale materials and merchandise, managing our insurance cover and booking travel and accommodation.
Our Facilities team takes care of our sites, collaborating with stores, contractors and other support office teams to make sure our sites are safe, presentable and welcoming places for our customers and colleagues.
The property team are responsible for the day-to-day management and expansion of our real estate portfolio. This includes managing property costs such as rent and rates, managing relationships with adjacent property owners and with landlords of our leasehold properties, and growing income from non-storage space. They also proactively identify and secure a pipeline of new self-storage facilities across the Group, as well as leading the management and delivery of capital enhancement projects, major refurbishment schemes, extensions and new store developments.
Our Finance team ensures that we have robust systems and processes in place to control income and expenditure across the Group. Tasks include; group consolidation and reporting, technical and financial accounting, banking compliance and statutory accounting.
Customer Support Centre
Helping our customers to find their ideal storage solution by telephone, live chat and email, our Customer Support Centre provides exceptional customer care. To make this possible, our Storage Consultants work closely with in-store colleagues, making sure that our customer journey is flawless.
Our National Accounts team are responsible for providing a range of flexible solutions to suit the needs of our business customers, they manage the process of securing storage across a range of sites, working closely with stores and businesses to ensure a great customer experience.
Technology is a vital part of any business to keep things running smoothly – our IT team support the Safestore Group with technical assistance, reliable infrastructure and continual development of our systems for whatever the future brings.
Our top team of technical experts ensure that we get the right advice and equipment to keep things running like clockwork every day.
Our marketing team ensure that customers’ needs are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring Safestore are well represented in the right place, at the right time and with the right messages. The team deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the digital channel (including search, social platforms and website) ensuring Safestore are visible and that the journey to becoming a customer is made easy through our website. In addition, the marketing team ensure consistent representation of the brand visually and in customer communications.
