Barbara Pienczakowska - Sales Consultant (Leeds YR)
I have been with Safestore for over 15 years now and have worked across two stores in Leeds. It has been the source of enormous personal and professional growth while I’ve been here.
I love that the job is incredibly varied – from customer service, to account management, sales over the phone, on email and in person, fork lifting, painting, and everything else in between. No one day is the same and I really enjoy that about the job.
I completed two years as a People Champion, which means I represented my colleagues in Safestore’s People Forum. Through the forum, I was given an opportunity to not only develop new skills but also be a part of making the difference for our colleagues, our business, and our customers. It has been great to see all the changes that have been implemented because of our work as a team and all the benefits it has created for us all. It has developed my communication skills, the ability to debate, decision making competency and confidence to present in front of groups of people.
The company has recently seen my potential and encouraged me to apply for the Store Manager’s programme, which will allow me to grow even further. I can’t wait to get stuck into it!
