Acquired 6 new stores in Belgium (Carlyle Group) taking our total stores to one hundred and twenty five in the UK and forty five in Europe
Acquired 3 new stores in the UK, plus four new stores in Spain and 6 in The Netherlands (through a joint venture with Carlyle Group)
Safestore was awarded the Gold accreditation under the Investors in People “IIP” programme. Safestore opened 2 new stores in London and 1 new store in Paris.
Safestore acquired Alligator Self Storage adding a further twelve stores to the UK portfolio.
Safestore acquired Space Maker, adding twelve stores to the portfolio. By December Safestore had a total of one hundred and thirty four self-storage centres, one hundred and nine in the UK and twenty five in Paris.
In October Safestore was promoted into the FTSE 250 index.
